The situation at Notre Dame in Paris.....there are numerous sites online, and on TV news.

https://globalnews.ca/news/5169601/notre-dame-fire-what-invaluable-treasures-reside-at-the-famed-paris-cathedral/?fbclid=IwAR2JyCqdl-iplr1HS3GFqZ-376J-0FnoxS8sNgScw9qnRv6V7f41ES8O3fM

It will be interesting to see how the powers that be take a hold of the situation

I am sure that those of us who have been to Notre Dame are reminiscing .....the news says that most of the stained glass is intact....that remains to be seen until examined by people who know what they are looking at!!! Lots of photos of "before" and... now....and apparently there are many millions of dollars already committed to the restoration work......

A thought.......what if a year from now when the people at Notre Dame have everything "under control" and restoration and repairs are ready to start......what IF about 100 of us plan a week in Paris and volunteer to work on the windows, under supervision of course......someone like Marie Foucault probably will volunteer her services, and then could be the "guide" for us??? What do you think Marie??

actually 100 people to go to Paris would not work out!!!....maybe a dozen at a time, and then rotate in another dozen....it will be interesting to read about the condition of the building....article in paper today states that the cathedral has been in very poor condition for many years, as all 800 year old buildings are....plans have been in the works for repairs, etc....but then this happened.....
