it works. I'm happy with it. Would be nice if it folded and unfolded open into a locked unit.

I know we beat this lead horse to death a few years ago, but I wanted to add my two cents.  It is important to remember that the only reason to stretch lead is to straighten it.  It does not make the lead stronger or less likely to deform due to creep in the future.  The act of stretching does add a bit of temporary work hardening to the molecular matrix, but this effect is fleeting because the recrystallization temperature of lead is close to room temperature.

Did you know that if you stretch your solder on a lead stretcher you will get straighter joints. Honest! ;)
