Lillian Nassau Director to Talk about McKeans and Tiffany History on April 5
Eric Silver—director of the renowned New York gallery Lillian Nassau LLC, which specializes in the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany—will conclude the Morse Museum’s 2017 lecture series Wednesday, April 5, with a talk that includes his memories of Hugh and Jeannette McKean. Silver, also a longtime appraiser on the PBS series Antiques Roadshow, worked at the Morse in 1973. The native New Yorker will recount his time with the McKeans and discuss the surge of public interest in Tiffany since he first became aware of the artist as a graduate student at the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University in 1970. The free lecture begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Jeannette G. and Hugh F. McKean Pavilion, 161 West Canton Avenue (just behind the Museum) and will be followed by a reception.
