Newest issues of both STAINED GLASS and GLASS ART have articles about the huge installation in Kansas, designed and fabricated by/at Judson Studio (artist Tim Carey), with artful/skillful participation by Narcissus Quagliata.

Much emphasis put on the plating and painting by Narcissus, but.......only one article mentions the "leading".. The total window is 37 feet tall by 94 feet wide, and has a total of 161 panels.....each panel is 4 feet by 5 feet. ...so by looking at the photo below, you can see the face of Christ is basically one whole panel.

Each panel has about 10-12 painted and then fired/fused pieces using glass, glass paint and frit, and then the pieces were leaded together.....

Judson Studio found a larger facility where they could place about half the completed panels up for viewing....one of the more interesting photos is in SGQ of an aerial exterior view of the church, with 90 percent of the window in sight....

interesting to note that the SGAA conference next year will be in LA area, hosted by Judson Studio.
