Hi Barbara,

 

Nice to hear from you.  The solar cells are laminated to the art glass then a layer of clear glass is laminated on top of this - then the entire panel is tempered again and made into a thermopane unit.

 

The cells remain clearly visible - indeed part of the design of the window from the beginning (see attached examples).
