Several of our graduate students at Corcoran College of Art + Design have made me aware that stained glass in Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Arts is being featured as part of a symposium "Circa 1900: Celebrating American Turn-of-the-Century Arts" to be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at DIA.  The program that day features a field visit to view a Tiffany window at Wayne State University's Beecher House and a presentation by Julie L.Sloan on Detroit stained glass.

The symposium is being offered by Art Initiatives.  See http://www.artinitiatives.com for further information and registration.

Best,

Cindy
