AGG CONFERENCE

Rochester, New York, on the southern shores of Lake Ontario in the western part of the state, is the site of the American Glass Guild’s 2017 Conference on May 19-21, 2017. Our theme this year: Harmony: Old and New, On Light and the Gift.

If there’s only one conference you can attend this year, make it this one! Our Conference Chair Nancy Gong, a Rochester native, has pulled together a slate of presenters and panelists, demonstrators and workshop instructors that is world-class and extensive. Workshops will be held on three days this year, two leading up to the conference and one immediately following. In addition, the American Glass Now:2017 juried exhibition will be on display during the conference before it travels on to the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Be sure to see this show! The Rochester Stained and Architectural Art Glass Tour will take place on Sunday afternoon, May 21st, and features traditional stained glass as well as contemporary architectural installations in and around Rochester.

Follow our Conference Blog for additional fun facts and updated info on everything to do with our conference!

Our venue for the conference is the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside, located in downtown Rochester. Conveniently located, Rochester is 90 minutes from Niagara Falls, 90 minutes to the Corning Museum of Glass, and 45 minutes to the Finger Lakes region- well known for the Genesee River, one of the few rivers in the world that runs north, glacial landscapes, recreation, wineries, and microbreweries. Genesee Brewery, founded in 1878, is located a short walk from downtown hotels.
