AGG's 2017 Pre–conference workshop.

Have a good camera and want to make better use of it or simply want to take better photos of your glass artwork and installations? This workshop is for you.

The #ArtofPhotographing: How You See Your Glass

#ArtGlass is a continual play on #lightandcolor. It is ever changing as it's surroundings change. This workshop will help you capture the vision you have of your art photographically, as we explore how lighting, time of day, and use surroundings affect the surfaces and transparent nature of #differentkindsofglass.
We’ll begin with a discussion of of photographs of glass in art and architecture, including:
- Effects of direct and indirect #lightingtechniques
- Best time of day to capture your particular projects
- How to #composeaphotograph to be a dynamic image
- How to use surroundings to best feature glass art through
contrast and color
Next we will review needed equipment, including #camerachoices, #settings, and #lighting and #gripequipment.
The group will travel to locations of significant #glasart installations and photograph them, both individually and as a group.
