|Dear Friends & Colleagues,
Sunny greetings on the first day of spring. “Music comes from an icicle as it melts, to live again as spring water.”
I am writing to let you know about a significant change in my studio practice - from architectural glass to mosaic. In April, I will make the transition, along with a move from Toronto to Prince Edward County.
Over the past 38 years, I have had a rewarding career in architectural glass with many exciting, challenging projects. I am grateful to my friends, mentors, and patrons, and honoured to have worked with so many gifted people. A special thanks to Peters Studio in Germany who I have worked closely with for 18 years.
This week, I was pleased to learn that the entire Archive of my architectural glass career has been accepted into the Baillie Special Collections at the Toronto Reference Library. In addition to designs and all documentation from my projects, the Archive includes the background material for the recently published A Thousand Colours – Sarah Hall Glass.
It has been an amazing journey – a true adventure in colour and light. Thank You!
The book A Thousand Colours is a visual record of my career in glass and one that I am very proud of. I hope you will have a chance to enjoy it. The number of copies is limited but a few are available at Amazon. See below for further information.
