Fiber/Glass Exhibit

Local artists Yan and Francoise Rieger present a show of modernist fused glass and abstract tapestries.  Members only preview is 4-6 on April 1, and the show will run from April 2-23, Saturdays and Sundays 2-5pm.This exhibition is free and open to the public.... at the Janet T. Swanson Gallery at the Society's Old Point Schoolhouse, Oysterponds Historical Society, Orient, NY. (note....this seems to be at the far end of the north "arm" of Long Island)

The exhibition will feature the two artist’s colorful collection of tapestries and fused art glass.  The large abstract tapestries have been designed and woven by Françoise on a high-warp loom in the “haute lisse” technic.   The artistic art glass panels are small colorful abstract compositions - decorative and complementary to an interior, attractive in an intimate setting.
