GlassZoom: Painting Foundations - Brushes and Brushwork
Friday, July 23rd @ 6:00 p.m.
Our guest hosts will join us from the US & UK; Lynn Durham, Derek Hunt, Nikki W Vogt, Kathy Jordan and our program host with the unlimited appetite for glass talk: Don Burt.
Brushes and Brushwork, my friends: nothing is as versatile, effective, and expressive. Let’s unlearn the notion that brushes are too hard to use, or that ‘I can’t use a brush because I’m not an artist’. Stringers, airbrushes, frit wafers and little squirt bottles are great, but the real power is with the brush.
We’re going to step back and review the foundations of brushwork with some of the very best in this next GlassZoom Painting series. Which brush hairs, mediums, vehicles, paints, hand techniques? And why? Let’s ask them how they got past the hard parts. Even if you’ve been painting for years, I bet you’ll learn a thing or two.
This meeting will have no admission fee for current AGG members, past members and future members (we hope). For those who wish to make a nominal contribution to the AGG's educational efforts, please visit our website and donate and/or join the Guild!
Please join us! Just send Don an email at the address below and he’ll return the link invitation for the meeting with instructions. That’s all you need to do:

This sounds great! Will it be recorded and available to be watched at a later date?

We do plan to record the meeting. If, how and where we'll make it available for later viewing, we haven't yet decided.
