Thanks for sharing these photos with us. It was good to meet you. Hope to see you again. Maybe next time I will be more social and not glued to a camera, :)

John,
Sorry I didn't get much time with you, I had my cousin with me and
we drove around a lot to check out the local color.
I also had a lot on my mind, the talk, and Dick, being the fore most
two things. We were very close and he was a few months younger then
me. It hit kinda hard. We had been fighting and I had stopped trying to
argue with him by e mail. I didn't know how sick he was. So it was hard.
He was nearly my last old Greenwhich Village friend.
Two left now, one is my ex wife and the other married a smart women and
is living the life out on the beautiful end of Long Island.
At least one of us amounted to something. Thanks for the picture, if I look
a little worried it is cause I was. My worse fear is to be a bore, and the were
several people I listened to who were. Hope ya got a kick out of it.

Charlie, it was a delight to meet you finally. I don't have the long history with Dick you did, but I do included him as being one of the most influential people in my life. I cherished him. So to meet others who love him is special for me. I also hope to see you again at a conference. Maybe we can get a group together and go find a bite to eat. Thank you so much for coming.

Thankz ladies and guys.
Dick,s brother Buddy was my first friend in NYC in 1960.
I was living in a skid row hotel at the time. They came to visit
and were appalled, they promised to help me find a place in the Village,
near their apartment. They did, down stairs, we sheared the same building.
roches, parties, and girls, kinda. For the next five years, and did I say the same
unheated building. Yes indeed I shivered through 5 cold New York winters with those two. I never had so many laughs in my life either before or since.
Later after our marriages crashed Dick and I hit the road together again.
Buddy stayed in the Village where he died, young, and alone. Dick and I
continued to travel the country in the pursuit of the perfect, stained glass
window and or woman. Vicki was in Phila. at Willet and in trouble with the
union with no place to go so I called Dick and sent her to Dick U and the
rest is history. They are all gone now, Dick, Bud, the old gang in the Village
my loving wife, and now my old dog Buddha. May be I will end up being the
last apprentice. Wish me luck.

The Best of Luck, CZ!

You have such wonderful memories to cruise through. I hope you do not forget to make new ones with all of us. More fun and laughs to be had. Many more! I wish I lived closer to that side of the world. I am sure with a few phone calls, short road trips could have some new fun stories to tell.

Did you hear Vic Rothman went rafting with 7 or 8 AGG babes, and then he fell out of the boat and into the water. .....

A few phone calls, a few new and old friends, and new stories to tell. I wish I lived closer, you'll have to do it without me and tell me the stories.

I'm not so sure Vic just "fell" out of the raft .
I wouldn't be surprised to hear he was PUSHED!

Just for fun. (of course)

Charlie, when things get close and morose, just be glad you don't have people like Bob Bockius to kick you around anymore.....

Charlie.....

if for no other reason you should sleep easy knowing that through a series of highly informative barroom diatribes you have convinced me to abandon a life of comfort and ease in search of ever-lasting romance, subway dwarves and the perfect whatever.

you keep fightin' the good fight,
i'll keep avoiding bus rodeos.

My question is how did he get the women on the boat?

That silver tongued devil.
