There is a fabulous article by the multi-talented Troy Moody in the November/December issue of Glass Art Magazine. There are photos of the "Three Golfers" panel designed and painted by Roy Coomber, "The Audition," Indre McCraw's truly remarkable painted panel, as well as Ken Leap dressed in full medieval regalia, Crosby Willet speaking during Church Tour in front of the unique windows at Keneseth Israel Temple, Debora Coombs demonstrating her dynamic painting technique at her Workshop, Kathy Jordan with Charlie Lawrence, a selection of pieces donated to Auction and a photo of the lovable Joe Barnes from S.A. Bendheim receiving his much-deserved "Lifetime Achievement Award".
If you couldn't make it to the Conference this year, reading Troy's review is the next best thing!
Whether you attended or not, you will want a copy of the Preprint we published with most of the papers which were presented at the Philadelphia Conference. For a copy, please send a check for $20 to Barbara Krueger, 4450 Fenton Rd., Hartland, MI 48353 to cover the cost of printing, binding and postage.
it was an exciting event indeed and i enjoyed sharing my reflections on it for the article. if anyone doesn't already have a subscription to GLASS ART MAGAZINE, i would recommend it. out of all the glass rags out there it seems to be consistently the best. Shawn Waggoner (the editor) does a great job of representing a diverse selection of art glass designers, craftsmen and techniques in each and every issue (and i ain't just sayin' that because she is willing to print my gonzo ramblings).
